Import and Export CoordinatorLocation: Portsmouth Salary: 30,000 - 39,000 DOE Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm We''re recruiting for an experienced Import and Export Coordinator to join a friendly and well-established freight forwarding business in Portsmouth. This is a varied role within a close-knit operations team, with a 50:50 split between import customs clearance and freight forwarding. You''ll manage shipments from initial booking through to final delivery, working across sea and air freight while maintaining regular contact with customers and suppliers.The RoleManaging import shipments from booking through to deliveryCompleting and processing import customs entries via CDSCoordinating sea and air freight movementsArranging collections and deliveriesLiaising with customers, hauliers, shipping lines and other suppliersTracking shipments and keeping customers updatedPreparing and checking shipping and customs documentationHandling queries and resolving any issues that ariseEnsuring shipments are processed accurately and within deadlinesAbout YouWe''re looking for someone with 2+ years'' experience in freight forwarding, ideally with a strong background in import operations and customs.You should have:Previous experience within a freight forwarding environmentHands-on experience with CDS and import customs entriesExperience handling sea and/or air freightGood understanding of the import process from clearance through to deliveryExcellent attention to detail and ..... full job details .....
