Implant Finish Operative

We are looking for an Implant Finish Operative to join our client''s manufacturing team based in Sheffield.

Benefits

  • Location: Sheffield, S9
  • Hours:5 hours per week - Day shift - Monday to Wednesday 6am to 4pm & Thursday 6am to 3.30pm
  • Pay: -15.25 per hour
  • Contract: Permanent

This is a hands-on production role involving the finishing and inspection of components to ensure they meet the required quality and dimensional specifications.

The Role

You will be responsible for a range of finishing and inspection duties, including:

  • Straightening, buffing, linishing, mop polishing and vibration polishing components
  • Using linishing belts, Scotch-Brite and polishing wheels
  • Carrying out detailed visual inspections and quality checks
  • Using precision measuring equipment such as verniers, height gauges and shadowgraph equipment
  • Loading and unloading components and moving materials around the department
  • Completing production and timekeeping paperwork
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment
  • Working as part of a team to meet production targets and quality standards

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
  • Good hand and eye coordination
  • The ability to carry out repetitive tasks accurately
  • Good manual dexterity and grip strength
  • A good level of concentration for detailed inspection and measurement
  • Reliable attendance and good timekeeping
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
  • A flexible approach to working across different areas when required
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, polishing, linishing, finishing or quality inspection would be advantageous, although full training will be provided where required.

Please note: This is a physical, hands-on role involving periods of standing, repetitive use of hands and wrists, and manual handling. Trays of components can weigh approximately 12-15kg, with bags of polishing media weighing up to 20kg.
