IHT Advisor

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Inheritance Tax (IHT) Advisor to join a growing team at a leading financial advisory firm. This role is pivotal in providing expert guidance to clients on inheritance tax planning and compliance, ensuring they navigate the complexities of tax legislation effectively. You will work closely with clients to develop tailored strategies that optimise their estate planning and minimise tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive reviews of clients'' financial situations to identify IHT liabilities.
- Develop and implement bespoke inheritance tax strategies for individuals and families.
- Provide ongoing support and advice to clients regarding changes in tax legislation and its implications.
- Collaborate with solicitors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to estate planning.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for clients, ensuring clarity and compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and best practices in inheritance tax planning.

Requirements:

- At least 3 years'' experience in inheritance tax planning or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of UK tax legislation, particularly in relation to inheritance tax.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients.
- Professional qualifications such as STEP or ATT would be advantageous.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in working with high-net-worth individuals.
- Familiarity with estate planning software and tools.
- A proactive approach to client management and relationship building.
