ICT Technician Apprentice

About the role: You will provide first-line technical support and guidance to staff and students across the Trust''s schools, ensuring timely resolution of IT issues and contributing to the smooth operation of ICT systems. The role also supports the apprentice''s development through exposure to a wide range of ICT systems and structured mentoring. Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day maintenance, problem solving and fault resolution of all IT-related equipment. Install and update software as needed. Undertake basic network patching/cabling tasks. Perform Active Directory user, group and policy management tasks. Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all ICT related equipment via the Trusts online asset management system. Assist with the setup of IT and digital display equipment. Provide basic tuition to staff and students on equipment use. Assist users with the use of day-to-day software applications across a range of platforms. Maintain stocks of spare parts and peripherals. Update digital signage displays with content provided by school staff.
