Hours: Full-time 8:00am andndash; 4:00pm
Position Overview:
Supply Desk are seeking a passionate and dedicated ICT Teacher to join a well-respected Special Needs School located near Andover. This long-term role is available to start immediately or from September 2024, with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate.
The successful applicant will be working closely with students aged 11andndash;16 with a range of additional needs, including autism spectrum conditions, learning difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. You will deliver engaging and accessible ICT lessons tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP targets, within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver differentiated ICT lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with additional needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to support studentsandrsquo; individual education plans (IEPs) and encourage engagement and independence.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with SEN staff, teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in line with school and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements:
- A Bachelorandrsquo;s degree in ICT or a related subject.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching ICT, ideally with students who have special educational needs (although SEN training/support will be provided for the right candidate).
- A patient, compassionate approach and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding best practices.
