ICT Infrastructure and Security Technician

An exciting opportunity to join a forward-looking ICT Team, delivering quality technical solutions to a Blue Light Service.Overview

Working alongside our experienced Infrastructure and Security Manager, you will help ensure that Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is protected from cyber threats. You will ensure that the infrastructure that supports our Firefighters is reliable and effective. Working with your colleagues in ICT and the wider Service, you will be responsible for resolving issues and safely delivering change. You will play a leading role in the delivery of projects within the service, focused on critical areas of cyber security assurance.Responsibilities

• Resolve issues and deliver change safely in collaboration with ICT and the wider Service. • Lead project delivery within the service, focused on critical areas of cyber security assurance. • Work with the Infrastructure and Security Manager to protect the organisation from cyber threats and maintain reliable infrastructure for frontline services.Qualifications

• Relevant cyber security and infrastructure skills. • Experience administering servers and network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls. • Degree-level education or relevant industry qualifications and experience. • Ability to work swiftly and accurately, often in time-sensitive situations. • Understanding of ITIL-aligned processes.Benefits
