Job Title: DB2 System Programmer Location: Sheffield (three times a week) Salary/Rate: £515 inside IR35 daily rate Start Date: 20/04/2026 Job Type:Contracted till 30/11/2026Company Introduction: We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our tier one banking clients! They are currently looking for a skilled Db2 system programmer to join their team for a seven-month contract.Job Responsibilities/Objectives: As IBM Z Technical Specialist - Db2 System Programmer, you will be a part of several functions within the job involving multiple products and technologies, including but not limited to supporting and maintaining the Db2 environment as well as the functional testing for the tertiary backup environment. You will be involved in DB2 upgrades and maintenance, performance reviews, access and security administration for DB2 systems, and installing and maintaining DB2 Tools for zOS. You will be required to understand the supporting ISV products, particularly from the vendors: IBM, Broadcom and Computer Associates (CA).Required Skills/Experience: The ideal candidate will have the following:Experience working on several large complex projects in an architectural role designing and implementing technical solutions to commercial problems.
