IAM (Java) Developer - Hybrid in London or Glasgow - 12 Month initial Contract - Inside IR35 Role Overview The position combines hands-on Java development with operational support of PingDS (ForgeRock DS) and broader IAM infrastructure, working across development, deployment, migration, and production support activities. The role sits within a modern DevOps environment and requires familiarity with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted development tooling. Key Responsibilities Develop, troubleshoot, debug, and enhance Java-based applications and APIs, including custom integrations and extensions for enterprise IAM and Directory Services platforms. Support IAM and Directory Services platforms - primarily PingDS (ForgeRock DS) - across migration, upgrade, configuration, deployment, and production support activities. Administer and manage Linux/RHEL environments, including filesystem management, log analysis, networking fundamentals, and performance troubleshooting. Automate deployment, migration, validation, and operational activities using Linux Shell Scripting (Bash) and automation frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform. Maintain and contribute to CI/CD pipelines using Git and Jenkins, applying secure coding practices, code reviews, and testing frameworks across the development life cycle.
