Sunday to Thursday, nightshiftWe’re working with a successful and growing food manufacturing business in the Burnley area who are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager to join their team.This is a key role within the technical function, ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about raising hygiene standards to support the production of safe, high-quality food. With the company expanding and continuing to invest in their people and site, it’s a great time to come on board and make a real impact.What you''ll be doing:Leading the hygiene team to maintain and continuously improve hygiene standards across the siteDriving the planning, coordination and execution of daily hygiene schedules and deep cleansSupporting with training and development of hygiene and production staff in cleaning proceduresManaging hygiene-related stock such as chemicals, equipment and consumablesWorking with HR on people management tasks including absence reviews, RTWs and disciplinariesTaking the lead on hygiene inspections, validations, swabbing and cleaning verificationsCollaborating with technical, QA and production teams to ensure audit-ready hygiene standardsSupporting with investigations and implementation of corrective actions for out-of-spec resultsEnsuring COSHH compliance and supporting HandS in related areasInvolvement in continuous improvement and site hygiene projectsWhat we''re looking for:Previous experience in a hygiene management or hygiene supervisor role within food manufacturingA confident people manager who can lead, coach, and motivate a teamExcellent understanding of cleaning standards, GMP, BRCGS, and food safety requirementsStrong communicator who works well cross-functionally with production, QA and technical teamsOrganised and proactive, with a continuous improvement mindsetWhy apply?Secure and growing businessOpportunity to lead and shape a teamGreat working culture with investment in developmentFantastic benefits packageIf you’re ready for a fresh challenge and want to take ownership of hygiene in a food production environment, apply now or reach out to me directly on Lucy.Osborne@alexandersteele.comSeniority level
