Hydraulic Modeller

Are you a Hydraulic Modeller who has Tuflow and Flood Modeller experience? Would you like to join a supportive team of Engineers, based in Sheffield?

Candidates are required to have a strong academic background and experience working for a UK based Consultancy specialising in flood risk assessments and hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow. It is also beneficial for applicants to reside in the North of England and have a keen interest in climate change, flood risk modelling and drainage engineering.

Responsibilities

• Hydraulic modelling and model build using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
• Flood risk assessments, flood consequence assessments, nutrient neutrality assessments and drainage strategies.
• Hydrological assessments.
• Natural flood management, wetland management and re-wilding projects.
• Flood risk mapping and estimation.
• Support new team members and check technical flood risk/complex hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller and Tuflow.
• Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients and Local Authorities to develop new opportunities and ensure projects are delivered to time and budget.
