As demand for our engineered hydraulic systems continues to grow, DHX is recruiting a Hydraulic Fitter to join our skilled team based at our Heckmondwike facility in West Yorkshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile projects across the UK and globally, with hands-on involvement in the build, installation, and maintenance of advanced hydraulic equipment. Purpose of the Role The Hydraulic Fitter will be responsible for the in-house assembly, testing, and commissioning of hydraulic systems, along with on-site installation and servicing. This includes power units, hydraulic cylinders, manifolds, and associated mechanical assemblies. The role involves both workshop and field-based work, supporting delivery and aftercare of bespoke engineered solutions. Key Responsibilities In-House Assembly and Testing Assemble and test hydraulic systems including HPUs, cylinders, manifolds, and associated pipework and fittings. Conduct quality checks to ensure systems meet technical and safety specifications. Assist with factory acceptance testing (FAT) and prepare systems for dispatch and installation.
