HVAC Engineer

Job Title: HVAC Engineer

Location: Amazon Fulfilment Centre, Bristol

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM (40 hours/week)

On-Call Rota: Participation required

Salary: -42,000 per annum

Role Summary

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on HVAC systems, especially VRV/VRF air conditioning units.
• Manage environmental conditions via the BMS system.
• Identify critical spares and improve plant/equipment efficiency.
• Fault diagnosis and repair across mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with F-Gas regulations and safe refrigerant handling.
• Complete Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Permits to Work.
• Use CAFM systems and mobile devices to manage and document tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

Required:

• Recognised or time-served apprenticeship.
• F-Gas Category 1 certification.
• City & Guilds Mechanical qualifications or equivalent.
• Proven HVAC maintenance experience in FM environments.
• Strong fault-finding and multi-skilled capabilities.
• Ability to supervise contractors and manage safe systems of work.
• Competence in Risk Assessments and Permits.

Desirable:

• Working at Height certification
• IPAF / PASMA qualifications
• Authorised Person (AP) certification
• Experience with BMS systems and HVAC controls
