HV Electrical Design Engineer Norwich area Hybrid available post-probation Permanent Competitive SalaryOur client, a specialist engineering company, is looking for an experienced HV Electrical Design Engineer to join their engineering team. You ll be delivering designs on projects from 11kV to 400kV for various projects and clients, including grid connections and battery storage schemes.The RoleYou ll take projects from concept through detailed design to construction support, including: HV substation and primary plant design across the 11kV 400kV rangeProtection and control design, including schematics, interlocking, trip and alarm circuits, and wiring diagramsAC/DC auxiliary systems, including battery and charger sizingCable schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop and earthing calculations Equipment specification and transformer/switchgear interface designProducing complete drawing packages, design reports and FAT/SAT documentationAttending client meetings and design reviewsSupporting procurement, factory testing and site commissioning About You Experience in HV electrical design, ideally across 11kV 400kV substationsDegree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (HNC/HND with strong experience also considered)Working knowledge of DNO and National Grid requirementsExperience with AutoCAD ElectricalConfident liaising with clients and managing multiple projects Desirable Renewable energy, BESS or offshore wind project exposureCommissioning or panel manufacturing ..... full job details .....
