HV Substation Primary Design EngineerSalary: Up to 95,000 + Welcome BonusWe are currently recruiting for an experienced HV Substation Primary Design Engineer to join a leading organisation operating within the UK power and energy sector.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on major HV/EHV substation and power infrastructure projects, taking responsibility for primary electrical design from concept through to detailed design and delivery.The RoleAs a Primary Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality primary electrical designs for HV/EHV substations.You will work closely with project managers, secondary design engineers, civil/structural teams, clients, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure designs are technically compliant, constructable and delivered to programme.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce and review HV/EHV substation primary electrical designs.Develop substation layouts and primary plant arrangements.Design and specify HV switchgear, transformers, busbars, CTs, VTs/CVTs, disconnectors, earth switches and associated primary equipment.Produce and review single-line diagrams, schematic drawings and equipment specifications.Develop equipment layouts, clearances and interface requirements.Ensure designs comply with relevant UK standards, client specifications and DNO/TSO requirements.Support technical studies, design reviews and value-engineering exercises.Liaise with clients, suppliers, ..... full job details .....
