This specialist SEN school in Folkestone is looking for a dedicated Humanities Teacher to bring learning to life for KS3 students, with a small amount of KS4 teaching. Contract: 4 days a week, start date negotiable - Maternity Cover: Potential to become permanent

Salary: andpound;162 andndash; andpound;223 per day

Key Responsibilities:


  • Deliver engaging and accessible Humanities lessons, primarily for KS3 students.
  • Teach a small amount of KS4, focusing on entry-level and functional skills.
  • Implement strong behaviour management strategies to create a structured learning environment.
  • Adapt teaching methods to support diverse learning needs, ensuring all students can succeed.
  • Work closely with support staff and specialists to tailor learning experiences for individual students.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and discussion.

Qualifications andamp; Skills:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with SEND students, particularly those with SEMH, autism, or additional learning needs.
  • A resilient and adaptable approach to teaching, ensuring students receive the support they need.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with support staff, specialists, and families.
  • Ability to differentiate lessons to accommodate varying learning styles and needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student well-being and academic progress.
