Are you a dedicated and passionate Geography or History teacher seeking a flexible teaching contract in Sittingbourne£ One of our large co-educational secondary schools is looking for a qualified Humanities teacher to join their team from September 2025 until at least Christmas, with the potential for extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who thrives on delivering engaging and impactful lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether you''re looking to broaden your teaching experience or want a role that offers more flexibility, weandrsquo;d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Teach Geography and/or History to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the National Curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive, and creative lessons tailored to varying abilities.
  • Take on full teacher responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessments, and attending relevant school meetings.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the progress and wellbeing of all pupils.
  • Collaborate with department staff and contribute to the wider school community when required.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Geography or History.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a real enthusiasm for your subject.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Desirable:


  • Experience supporting students through GCSE preparation.
  • The ability to differentiate effectively for students with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment opportunities.
