One of our large, inclusive co-educational secondary schools is seeking a qualified Humanities teacher to join their team from November 2025, continuing until July 2026, with the potential for extension or a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who thrives on delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and inspiring students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Whether youandrsquo;re seeking a longer-term placement or exploring flexible teaching roles, weandrsquo;d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Teach Geography and/or History to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the National Curriculum.
  • Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging, and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
  • Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, and attending departmental and whole-school meetings.
  • Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive academically and personally.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Humanities department and contribute to wider school life.

Requirements:


  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Geography or History.
  • Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young learners.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.

Desirable:


  • Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations.
  • The ability to differentiate effectively for students with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities.
