One of our large, inclusive co-educational secondary schools is seeking a qualified Humanities teacher to join their team from November 2025, continuing until July 2026, with the potential for extension or a permanent appointment for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Geography and/or History to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, following the National Curriculum.
- Plan and deliver inclusive, engaging, and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning, marking, assessment, and attending departmental and whole-school meetings.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment where all students can thrive academically and personally.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Humanities department and contribute to wider school life.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Geography or History.
- Proven experience teaching KS3 and KS4 students in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring young learners.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
Desirable:
- Experience preparing students for GCSE examinations.
- The ability to differentiate effectively for students with a range of learning needs, including SEND.
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to extracurricular or enrichment activities.
