Supply Desk are working with a welcoming secondary school in Sittingbourne that are seeking a flexible and adaptable Humanities teacher to join their team from September or October 2025. This is a full-time position teaching Geography and/or History across Key Stages 3 and 4, with full teaching responsibilities and the potential to stay beyond Christmas.
The school are looking for someone who brings strong classroom management, a positive and inclusive approach, and a real enthusiasm for delivering engaging lessons that inspire learners of all abilities.
What Youandrsquo;ll Be Doing:
- Teaching Geography and/or History to students in KS3 and KS4, following the National Curriculum.
- Delivering well-planned, engaging, and inclusive lessons that support progress and participation.
- Taking on full classroom responsibilities including planning, marking, assessments, and participating in school meetings when required.
- Contributing positively to the school environment and supporting a culture of respect, progress, and inclusivity.
- Working collaboratively within a supportive Humanities department.
What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Geography and/or History at secondary level.
- Proven experience teaching across KS3 and KS4.
- Excellent classroom presence and behaviour management skills.
- A flexible, adaptable attitude andndash; willing to support planning and curriculum delivery as needed.
- Strong subject knowledge and a positive, inclusive teaching style.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
Desirable:
- Experience with GCSE preparation and supporting students of varying abilities, including SEND.
- A proactive teacher who is willing to contribute to departmental planning and potentially get involved in enrichment activities.
