Role: Humanities Teacher (Secondary School)Main Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Humanities subjects aligned with the national curriculum or school standards. Create lesson plans that develop students'' critical thinking, analytical skills, and understanding of human society, history, culture, and geography. Assess, record, and report on students'' progress through assignments, projects, exams, and class participation. Differentiate instruction to cater to students of varying abilities and learning styles. Foster a classroom environment that promotes respect, inquiry, and open discussion. Contribute to the development of Humanities curriculum materials and schemes of work. Organize or assist with educational trips, museum visits, or historical site tours to enrich learning. Collaborate with other teachers to create interdisciplinary projects linking humanities with arts, sciences, or languages. Communicate regularly with parents/carers regarding student performance and behavior. Stay up to date with developments in Humanities education, incorporating new ideas and technologies into lessons. Take part in staff meetings, professional development, and wider school activities like open evenings or school plays.
