Job Title: Human Resources and Recruiting Assistant(Remote | 5–10 hrs/week with the possibility of additional hours)

Position OverviewWe are currently seeking a Human Resources and Recruiting Intern to support our efforts in attracting and retaining talented, mission-driven individuals. This is an excellent opportunity for someone pursuing a career in Human Resources, Recruiting, or Organizational Development to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a flexible, remote role.

Responsibilities

Assist with writing and posting job/volunteer descriptions

Source candidates through job boards, schools, and networking

Help screen resumes and coordinate interviews

Maintain tracking spreadsheets and basic applicant records

Assist with onboarding documentation and organizing HR files

Participate in weekly or biweekly check-ins with the operations team

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication and organizational skills

Interest in HR, recruiting, or organizational leadership

Comfortable using tools like Google Sheets, Docs, and email platforms

Able to commit

5–10 hours per week with the possibility of additional hours , flexible schedule

A positive, proactive attitude and a willingness to learn

Bonus Skills

Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or LinkedIn sourcing

Familiarity with HR or recruiting tools

Prior experience in a hiring or team leadership role
