Job summary: 3 month initial contract with potential to extend beyond a year. £89.38 UMB. Multiple locations available. Flexible working patterns.Key skills required for this role: Human Factors.Responsibilities

Senior Eng Manager Site Safety of Human Factors and the boat side of HF; focus on site safety.Work as part of a team that provides Human Factors support to the Nuclear Site Safety Case, delivering the Human Based Safety Claim aspects of the Safety Case through the delivery of safety measures for operators.Support Safety Case delivery; Task Analysis and Human Reliability Analysis; substantiating operator claims within the Safety Case.Produce evidence in the form of safety justifications and provide specialist support for related activities.Contribute to identification and rapid closure of issues across all product lifecycle stages and manage resulting change embodiment activities.Undertake peer reviews or checking/verification tasks as directed.Carry out knowledge transfer and support activities to other team members.Provide realistic programme status, identify problem areas and implement agreed recovery plans.Articulate and present complex technical arguments clearly, logically and simply.Key Accountabilities and Deliverables

Produce Human Factors analysis and assessment reports in accordance with the detailed Human Factors Integration Plan.Provide Human Factors advice to the project.Build good working relationships with stakeholders such as safety case authors, procedure authors, and operators.Knowledge and Qualifications

Relevant experience as a Human Factors practitioner.General understanding of manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and testing processes used within the submarine business.Knowledge of tools used to integrate Human Factors into the Safety Case.Knowledge or recognition of relevant engineering standards (including safety and environmental regulations).Recognition of the limits of own knowledge and when to seek specialist support and development.Necessary Skills

Ability to deliver Human Factors into a Nuclear Site Safety Case.Understanding of the regulatory framework for the Safety Case.Understanding of how the Safety Case is delivered; including Design Basis Assessment, Probabilistic Assessment, and Design Substantiation Assurance.Understanding of Human Factors integration into a Safety Case; Human Reliability Analysis, Task Analysis, and qualitative substantiation of operator claims within the Safety Case.Ability to liaise with stakeholders; ability to work within a wider Human Factors team or ..... full job details .....
