      <description>Location: Bristol | Salary: 85.00-85.00 Hourly | Type: Contract | Our client, a leader in the Defence and Security sector, is seeking a highly skilled Human Factors Engineer for a contract role. This position plays a critical role in ensuring user capability is fully considered in the development of advanced weapon systems.Key Responsibilities:Conduct Human Factors Integration throughout the development lifecycle, providing progressive assurance to the customer as per Def Stan 00-251.Analyse and assess the role of the operator within the weapon system, considering mission planning and control.Define and maintain Human-Computer Interface (HCI) Design and Specification artefacts.Conduct user engagement activities to inform design as part of a Human-Centred Design approach.Support and collaborate with wider systems teams, including provision of briefings where required.Coordinate with teams to provide inputs for demonstrator requirements and organise user engagement events.Job Requirements:Membership in the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF).Experience applying Human Factors in a Defence context, including understanding of Defence Standards (e.g., 00-251).Experience in Human-Computer Interface Design, specification, and prot...</description>
