We are currently recruiting for an experienced and driven HSQE Manager on behalf of our client, a leading player in the manufacturing sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual passionate about Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental practices to make a real impact within an established and growing business. You will need to be an experienced QHSE with a bias towards quality who has worked in an industrial engineering environment.
The Role:
The QHSE Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's Business Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with key ISO certifications, and driving continuous improvements across all areas of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the Business Management System, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and environmental practices across the business.
- Maintain and achieve ISO certifications, including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, ATEX/IECEx while ensuring successful audits and compliance.
- Lead supplier and product QA governance, ensuring that product service standards meet or exceed expectations. This will require some travel to suppliers and other sites.
- Provide regulatory and ISO Certified Site Health & Safety Assurance to ensure compliance
- Lead the management of Environmental business practices, ensuring all processes and practices meet relevant environmental standards.
- Proactively identify and lead cost-down initiatives to improve quality, including overseeing quality assurance processes for offshore sourcing.
- Support internal audits and health & safety inspections, including fire, lighting, PAT, LOLER, and others.
- Drive continuous improvement of the HSQE management programme in collaboration with senior management.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Manage internal and external training, including HSQE induction for new employees and maintaining training records.
About you:
- NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma (or equivalent)
- CQI Certificate in Quality Management or equivalent experience
- Internal Auditor qualification
- Proven track record of achieving and maintaining ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 certifications
- Experience in driving change and continuous improvement within HSQE systems
- Industrial engineering experience
- Supplier quality experience
- Strong communication skills, able to influence at all levels of the business
- Working knowledge and experience with pumps or rotating equipment (desirable)
- Analytical skills to assess and interpret complex regulations and detailed information
- IT proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and a solution oriented approach to problem solving
