HSEQ Manager

Astute''s Renewables Team is partnering with a leading renewable energy business focused on utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects to recruit a HSEQ for its office in Reading.

The strategically important HSEQ Manager role comes with a salary of up to -80,000, discretionary bonus, pension scheme and hybrid working.

Responsibilities and duties of the HSEQ Manager role

• Lead HSEQ activities across utility scale solar and BESS projects throughout England and Wales
• Drive continuous improvement across health, safety, environmental and quality systems
• Maintain and improve integrated management systems in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Carry out site audits, inspections and compliance reviews across operational and construction sites
• Support contract management, incident investigations and corrective action processes
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and wider HSEQ legislation
• Other duties as required

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• Minimum 3 years'' experience within a senior HSEQ position across a similar environment
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation and CDM regulations
• Experience managing ISO-accredited management systems
• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred
• Experience within solar PV, BESS or HV electrical environments would be advantageous
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites when required
