As an HSE Specialist in Derby, you''ll play a key role in ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance across the site in the FMCG industry, working closely with the Head of HSE. Client Details This opportunity is with a well-known company in the FMCG industry, with operations globally and sites based in Derby. Description The interim HSE Specialist will work as part of a small team which supports site-level deployment the company''s Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) management practices to ensure compliance with local legal requirements and global standards. This individual will collaborate with managers, engineers, supervisors and shop-floor employees to identify and control health and safety hazards and adverse environmental impacts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains HSE compliance assurance processes, including self-assessments and compliance calendars, to enable compliance with applicable laws and company standards. Supports managers and supervisors in effective shop-floor implementation of HSE standards. Facilitates the deployment of employee-driven safety and environmental teams and provides technical support for team activities that promote a safe, healthy and environmentally responsible workplace. Maintains and analyzes data from internal audit processes, including HSE-related GEMBA and behavior observations, to proactively identify conditions and behaviors that can lead to HSE incidents.
