Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer Location: Sittingbourne Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview We are working with a well-established organisation seeking a proactive HSE Officer to support the Health, Safety and Environment Manager in ensuring full compliance with all relevant legislation and internal standards.This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being out on site, engaging with teams, and driving a positive safety culture across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out regular site inspections to promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with HSE legislationSupport day-to-day health, safety and environmental operations across siteLog and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, including maintaining accurate records and action logsCoordinate statutory health surveillance and occupational health requirementsConduct work equipment and PPE inspections, ensuring suitability and complianceSupport fire safety processes including alarm testing, extinguisher maintenance, and compliance checksDeliver toolbox talks and contribute to staff training and inductionsManage and maintain HSE documentation, noticeboards, and safety communications across siteSupport contractor inductions and ensure compliance with site proceduresAssist with audits, inspections, and any HSE-related investigationsSource and purchase HSE equipment, PPE, and safety materials as requiredAbout YouGood working knowledge of Health and Safety legislationStrong ..... full job details .....
