Essential educational qualifications, relevant experience and requested skills. Degree in Engineering Science or HSE&S degree. NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent recognised qualification). Sound knowledge of personal (occupational) safety and security systems and the legislative framework as well as proven track record of driving change in a global environment. Proven experience in a Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability (HSES) role within a manufacturing, industrial or operational site environment. Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation, with the ability to apply it pragmatically at site level. Demonstrable experience managing: Manual handling risks and ergonomic assessments COSHH assessments, including exposure control, safe use, storage and labelling of hazardous substances PUWER compliance for work equipment and machinery DSEAR risk assessments where flammable or combustible materials are present Experience supporting environmental compliance, including waste management, segregation, contractor control and pollution prevention...
