HSE Manager - Chemicals Manufacturing - Manchester - £50-60k + benefits The Opportunity We re supporting a growing speciality chemicals manufacturer to appoint a QHSE Manager at their COMAH-regulated site. You ll take ownership of site-wide QHSE strategy, working closely with senior leadership to ensure risk is effectively managed and controls are embedded in day-to-day operations. The Role This is a hands-on leadership role with full responsibility for the site s QHSE framework, ensuring compliance while driving a practical, risk-based approach. Key responsibilities include: Leading COMAH compliance and regulatory engagement (HSE and Environment Agency) Supporting emergency planning, MAPP development, and regulatory inspections Driving process safety and major hazard risk management (COSHH, Human Factors, safety-critical tasks) Overseeing and embedding Management of Change (MOC) Leading incident investigations and ensuring learning is implemented Managing environmental compliance, monitoring, and improvement initiatives Overseeing occupational health and exposure risk management Maintaining and improving ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 systems Driving a strong, practical safety culture across site About You We re open to two profiles: An experience in HSE/QHSE within chemicals, manufacturing, or COMAH environments Strong grounding in risk assessment, audits, and compliance Ready to take ownership and step into a site leadership role Ambitious, proactive, and confident ..... full job details .....
