About the Role
This permanent position is for a HSE and Fire Advisor based in Bristol, covering a portfolio of sites across the South region, including Reading and areas south of the M4. The role offers a salary between £45,000 and £55,000, dependent on experience, plus a £6,000 car allowance. Working remotely with regional travel, this role reports to the Group Head of Health and Safety. The Role
Reporting into the Group Head of Health and Safety, you will support a portfolio of sites across the South region, working closely with Facilities and Centre Management teams to provide practical Health, Safety and Fire guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake Health and Safety and Fire Risk Assessments
- Review external assessments and provide recommendations
- Support site teams with day-to-day HandS and Fire guidance
- Deliver pragmatic and commercially focused solutions
- Support auditing and continuous improvement initiatives
- Build strong relationships across regional sites
About You
- Experience within Health and Safety and Fire Safety roles
- Comfortable managing a regional multi-site portfolio
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercially aware, pragmatic and solutions focused
- Experience undertaking and reviewing Fire Risk Assessments and Health and Safety audits
- Strong working knowledge of UK Health and Safety and Fire Safety legislation
- Proven experience within FM, property or built environment environments
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent, with evidence of continued professional development (CPD)
- NEBOSH or NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety desirable
- NEBOSH Fire Safety / Fire Risk Management or Level 3 Fire Risk Assessment qualification desirable
- IOSH membership preferred (CertIOSH minimum or working towards CMIOSH)
