GDS Partners are recruiting an EHS Advisor on behalf of a leading M&E Contractor for a permanent position based in Bristol, UK.

Our client is a well-established Mechanical & Electrical Contractor delivering large-scale projects across the commercial, industrial, healthcare, data centre, and mission-critical sectors throughout the UK. They have built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects safely and efficiently and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance across all operations.

About the Role:

Main Duties Will Include, But Not Be Limited To:
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and workplace risk assessments
  • Promote a proactive Health, Safety, and Environmental culture across all project teams
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and UK Health & Safety legislation
  • Review RAMS, permits to work, and other site safety documentation
  • Support site management teams with Health & Safety advice and guidance
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions
  • Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and safety briefings
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and maintain high HSE standards across the site
  • Produce HSE reports and maintain accurate site records
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies where required
Requirements:
  • Relevant Health & Safety qualification, e.g. Degree or NEBOSH
  • Previous experience within the construction or M&E sector
  • Good understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation and CDM Regulations
  • Experience carrying out site audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
