OverviewHSE Advisor - Manufacturing | Manchester Mon-Fri (37 hrs)

We\''re working with a leading manufacturing business based in Manchester that\''s looking to hire an experienced Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Advisor. This is a hands-on, site-based role reporting to the Head of HSEE, ideal for someone passionate about driving continuous HSE improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Provide HSE support and guidance across the site

Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections

Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis

Deliver inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training

Maintain compliance with UK HSE legislation (e.g. COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER)

Support ISO systems (45001, 14001, 50001)

Monitor HSE KPIs and drive continuous improvement

Support environmental audits, reporting, and A2 permit compliance

Promote sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives

Skills and Experience

NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)

HSE experience in manufacturing or engineering

Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation

Confident communicator with strong influencing skills

Skilled in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations

Desirable

NEBOSH Diploma / TechIOSH or GradIOSH

ISO systems experience (45001, 14001, 50001)

Environmental/energy management knowledge
