HSE Advisor (12 Months Fixed Term) Duration: 12 Months Fixed Term Location: Kirkbymoorside Working Pattern: 08.30 to 16.30 Role Summary The HSE Advisor will support the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards across the business. The role focuses on advising managers and teams, driving safe systems of work, supporting incident/near-miss investigations, and ensuring compliance with relevant HSE legislation, internal standards and client requirements. Key Responsibilities Provide competent HSE advice and guidance to managers, supervisors and the wider workforce. Conduct workplace inspections, audits and safety observations; identify gaps and track corrective actions. Support risk assessments and method statement development/review, ensuring controls are effective and understood. Facilitate induction, toolbox talks and training where required to promote safe working practices. Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses, including root cause analysis, reporting and corrective/preventative actions. Monitor HSE performance metrics (e.g., TRIR/LTIFR, audit findings, actions overdue) and report trends to stakeholders. Support permit-to-work, LOTO, contractor management and safe working compliance (as applicable). Ensure environmental compliance, including waste management, spill prevention and reporting (as applicable to the site/activity).
