We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our Sterile Services Department as a HSDU Deputy and Quality Manager. This is a key role responsible for developing and maintaining robust quality assurance and production control systems to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of sterile surgical instrument sets and sterile procedure packs.Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and production control systems within the department.Liaise with service users to ensure service agreements and quality targets are consistently met.Support the department manager in the day-to-day management of systems and staff.Oversee internal operations in the manager''s absence, ensuring continuity of service and adherence to established routines.Ensure all quality checks are completed on schedule, results are accurately recorded, and corrective actions are taken in line with departmental quality systems.Promote a culture of continuous improvement by engaging with customers, listening to feedback, and responding proactively to service needs.Main duties
include undertaking quality-related training to the required standards, maintaining ISO 13485 accreditation, and developing the system to continually improve standards and remain compliant with latest versions. Other duties include ensuring management commitment to the process, maintaining audit reports, liaising with the Notified Body for external audits, preparing information for Management Meetings, updating quality procedures, maintaining the organisational chart, recording and addressing issues with sets, holding regular production meetings with supervisors, providing QA and production control services, conducting departmental audits, random sampling, active participation in production of sterile supplies when necessary, maintaining quality records, staff training, and actioning discrepancies promptly.Qualifications
