JOB TYPE: Full-Time, PermanentWORKING HOURS: 35 hours per weekResponsibilities
Programme Management: Oversee and coordinate the People Services programme of work, setting priorities, sequencing projects, and identifying interdependenciesMonitor programme performance, ensuring progress through governance and alignment with the People StrategyFacilitate benefits realisation and ensure continuous improvement through lessons learnedProject Management: Lead, manage, and deliver people related projects, including cyclical initiatives, applying appropriate methodologies and frameworksDefine project scope, objectives, and deliverables in partnership with project sponsorsEnsure HR projects are legally compliant with UK employment law and aligned with best HR practiceManage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective mitigation strategies are in placeDevelop robust business cases with Project Sponsor(s), including requirements, costs, benefits, risks, and issuesWork within governance and reporting frameworks, ensuring timely and accurate updates for sponsors and stakeholders, including PS Delivery Group meetingsStakeholder Engagement and Communication: Build relationships across People Services, the wider organisation, and external partnersAct as the primary point of contact for people project stakeholders, providing regular updates and facilitating decision-makingCoordinate and deliver communications plans in line with departmental and corporate standardsContinuous Improvement: Participate in peer reviews and share best practice across the People Services functionPromote innovation and future-focused approaches to support the delivery of strategic people outcomesCandidate requirements
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)Proven HR generalist experience across the employee lifecycle (e.g. employee relations, resourcing, reward, learning and development, policy development)Proven experience of delivering HR-specific projects in corporate environmentsKnowledge of UK employment law and HR best practiceKnowledge of project methodologies, tools, and frameworksExperience supporting and influencing senior managersProficiency in data management, analysis, HRIS systems, and Microsoft OfficeBenefits
