Overview

HR Operations Analyst (12 month FTC) role at Expedia Group. London-based fixed term contract. In this pivotal role, you will serve as both an operational partner and trusted advisor within the People Team, supporting employees and Centers of Excellence (COEs) through a variety of HR lifecycle moments. Your passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience will be central, as you provide thoughtful guidance and seamless resolution of HR-related inquiries and issues.In This Role, You Will

Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance to employees and Centers of Excellence (COEs) across sensitive, complex, or escalated HR matters; de-escalate issues professionally and empathetically as needed.Apply strategic and human-centered problem-solving skills to address operational challenges, anticipating employee needs and delivering well-judged solutions with minimal supervision.Proactively collaborate across People Operations, COEs, and business stakeholders to enhance HR processes and optimize the overall employee experience.Ensure full compliance with internal policies, data protection, and relevant employment legislation in all operational activities.Ensure right-to-work checks are properly completed and proof of eligibility to work in the UK is maintained.Accountable for notifications to the Home Office through the SMS portal.Administer payroll processing and benefits programs.Support audits.Adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs).Build and sustain a thorough understanding of the organization’s objectives, processes, and business context, and leverage this knowledge to deliver practical solutions with measurable outcomes.Support change management and communication efforts, enabling employees and colleagues to embrace new systems, processes, and ways of working.Contribute to team building by fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment.Experience And Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in HR, Business, or related field; 3-5 years’ experience in HR operations or advisory role.Background in employee customer service/HR advisory roles with exposure to AI tools or automation (projects or practical use).Strong HR process knowledge with proficiency in Workday and ServiceNow or similar case management.Excellent communication skills with empathy, emotional intelligence, and adaptive advisory ability. Ability to establish relationships at all levels.Curious, analytical, and comfortable applying emerging AI tech (chatbots, generative AI, no/low-code tools) to improve workflows and review/interpret data.Detail-oriented, confidential, proactive and committed to continuous improvement; global HR experience or multilingual skills a plus.Excellent organizational skills, able to be effective, professional and empathic under pressure.Accommodation requests
