HR Officer

HR Officer The HR Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of a professional, efficient and commercially focused HR service across the business. Supporting approximately 300 employees across multiple locations within the utilities, infrastructure and civil engineering sector, you will work closely with managers and employees to provide expert advice across employee relations, recruitment, absence management, performance management, payroll administration and HR compliance. This is a varied, hands-on role with responsibility for managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting managers with people-related matters and ensuring HR processes are delivered consistently and in line with employment legislation and company policy. The HR Officer will lead recruitment activity for both salaried and operational roles, deliver onboarding and induction programmes, support employee development initiatives and play a key role in driving employee engagement and organisational performance. Acting as a trusted advisor to managers across the business, you will provide practical and commercially focused HR guidance, helping to build management capability, promote best practice and foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
