This role is office based. The HR Manager will be responsible for leading the HR team, providing comprehensive HR Service which supports the delivery of the organisation''s strategic plan. The duties of the HR Manager include:Lead and shape the Council''s HR Strategy and Organisational Development agenda, ensuring alignment with the Council PlanAct as the senior HR professional, providing expert advice on employment law, HR best practice and complex people mattersDevelop, review and implement HR policies, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, ACAS guidance and best practicePartner with managers across the organisation to provide proactive HR advice and support on workforce issues and organisational challengesLead on complex employee relations matters including restructures, redundancies, disciplinary and grievance cases, investigations and appealsBuild and maintain positive relationships with recognised trade unions and staff representativesDrive employee engagement initiatives, including staff surveys and the delivery of action plans that enhance workplace cultureLead the Council''s Equality, Diversity and Inclusion agenda across the workforceOversee recruitment, workforce planning, reward, ..... full job details .....
