Line managing an HR Administrator and building effective and positive working relationships across the department spotting and flagging any potential people issues. Duties and responsibilities HR Advice and Guidance: Providing advice and guidance on HR matters or policy and signposting queries to appropriate areas for further information or escalation where necessary. Using initiative and judgement to identify potential complex problems or issues and escalate these where necessary. Supporting line managers to carry out absence, attendance and probation processes appropriately, applying policy. Communicating, explaining and advising on new policy initiatives and their benefits. Cascading HR best practice and changes that will impact the faculty or its departments/divisions through workshops and engagement activities. Eg recruitment, sickness, appraisals. Recruitment and Resourcing: Reviewing job descriptions and ensuring standardisation across JDs Liaising with Finance and Research teams regarding fun... Contract
