This is a hands-on and influential role, combining expert employee relations support with proactive business partnering. You will use people insight and data to identify priorities, address workforce risks early and drive practical improvements across areas including absence, retention, resourcing, employee experience and organisational change.
Key Responsibilities for the HR Business Partner:
· Build strong relationships with site leaders and managers, providing pragmatic and commercially focused people advice.
· Coach managers to confidently manage performance, conduct, absence and employee relations matters.
· Lead and support complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair, consistent and timely outcomes.
· Use people data and insight to identify trends and agree targeted actions to improve absence, retention, turnover and employee experience.
· Support workforce planning, recruitment and resourcing activity, including reducing unnecessary reliance on temporary labour.
· Partner with managers on organisational change, consultation, restructuring and changes to ways of working.
· Support effective onboarding, retention and engagement activity across both sites.
· Work with the wider People team to implement People policies, processes, systems and functional priorities.
· Maintain accurate people information and provide clear insight through regular site-level reporting and dashboards.
· Promote consistent, practical and legally compliant people management across the organisation.
Key Requirements of the HR Business Partner:
· You will be an experienced HR professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced operational environment and balancing hands-on employee relations with proactive business partnering.
· Strong generalist HR and employee relations experience.
· Experience coaching and influencing operational leaders and managers.
· Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
· Experience supporting organisational change and consultation.
· Confidence using people data to identify issues, understand trends and drive action.
· Strong judgement, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
· A practical, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
· The ability to build credibility and trusted relationships at all levels of an organisation.
· Ideally you will be fully CIPD qualified or equivalent, however, what’s key is similar experience operating at a HR Business Partner level.
