HR Business Partner (Manufacturing)

We are looking for an experienced HR Business Partner - Operations to join a fast-paced, people-focused manufacturing environment in the North West.

Description

You will partner with operational leadership to:

• Provide proactive HR advice and coaching across the employee lifecycle.
• Support workforce planning, organisational design and resource requirements within a manufacturing environment.
• Lead and advise on employee relations matters, including absence, performance, conduct, grievances and disciplinary processes.
• Coach managers to improve leadership capability, employee engagement and performance.
• Support organisational change, restructuring and transformation programmes.
• Develop and implement people initiatives aligned to operational and commercial objectives.
• Use people data and insight to identify trends, risks and opportunities and translate these into practical actions.
• Work closely with recruitment, learning and development, reward and other HR colleagues to deliver an effective people service.
• Support employee engagement and culture initiatives across the operational workforce.
• Ensure HR policies and practices are consistently and fairly applied, in line with UK employment legislation and best practice.
• Build effective relationships with employee representatives and recognised trade unions where applicable.
• Promote a positive, inclusive and high-performance culture across the operation.
• Ensure people considerations are embedded into operational decision-making and business planning.

Profile

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who has operated successfully as an HR Business Partner within a manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, industrial, logistics or similarly operational environment.

You will ideally bring:

• Proven HRBP experience supporting operational or manufacturing teams.
• Strong employee relations experience, including complex case management.
• Experience working with frontline, hourly-paid and salaried populations.
• Confidence partnering with senior operational leaders and influencing at all levels.
• Experience supporting organisational change, restructuring and workforce planning.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Experience of working within a unionised or employee-representative environment would be advantageous.
• A pragmatic, commercially aware and solutions-focused approach.
• Strong coaching, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
• The ability to balance strategic HR thinking with a willingness to get involved in the detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the credibility to build trusted relationships across a diverse workforce.

Job Offer

• Salary of -45,000 per year, dependent on the level of experience.
