My client is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to provide strategic HR support and guidance to business units within the organisation in the Canary Wharf area.

This role involves conducting regular meetings with line management to offer HR advice, managing complex employee relations issues, and leading HR analytics and gap analysis programmes to recommend process improvements.

The successful candidate will analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop effective solutions, policies, and programmes.

You will conduct thorough and objective investigations, maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law to ensure compliance and reduce legal risks, and collaborate with the legal department as required.

The role also includes providing day-to-day performance management support such as coaching, counselling, career development, and disciplinary actions.

You will work closely with management and employees to enhance work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.

Additional responsibilities include developing contract terms for hires, promotions, and transfers, assisting international employees with expatriate assignments, and supporting workforce planning, restructures, and succession planning.

Identifying training needs and participating in the evaluation and monitoring of training programmes to ensure objectives are met will also be key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct weekly meetings with business units to provide HR guidance and support
Lead HR analytics and gap analysis to recommend process improvements
Analyse HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programmes, and policies
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, including investigations
Maintain knowledge of legal requirements to ensure compliance and reduce risks
Provide performance management guidance including coaching, counselling, and disciplinary actions
Support workforce planning, restructures, and succession planning initiatives
Assist with contract development for new hires, promotions, and transfers
Support international assignments and related HR matters
Identify training needs and monitor training programme effectiveness
Perform other related duties as assigned

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations
Experience in employee relations and performance management


This role is for 3 months and is paying £50 per hour Umbrella but potentially more for the right candidate.

Experience in project management transformation and business partnering is essential.
