HR Business Partner

A well-established international bank is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its London HR team. This is a broad and varied role, partnering closely with senior stakeholders and supporting key people initiatives across the business.

Your New Role
Reporting into theHead of HR, you will provide both strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle. Responsibilities will include advising on employee relations matters, performance management, learning and development, succession planning, policy development, employee benefits and regulatory HR activities.You will also play a key role in training delivery, ESG initiatives and supporting compliance with FCA and PRA requirements, including SMCR.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with managers across the business, providing expert HR advice and support on employee relations matters.
• Manage ER cases including disciplinaries, grievances, probation reviews and performance issues.
• Conduct training needs analysis with business leaders and support the delivery of learning and development programmes.
• Lead talent and succession planning initiatives to support organisational growth.
• Review and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Support SMCR, ESG and wider HR compliance activities, including reporting and employee engagement initiatives.

What You''ll Need to Succeed

• Previous experience as an HR Business Partner or Senior HR Generalist
• Financial services or banking sector experience
• CIPD qualified or working towards qualification
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law
• Experience managing employee relations cases
• Ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the business
• Experience supporting learning and development programmes and talent initiatives
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
