The role - HR and Payroll Administrator
My client is seeking an organised and proactive-HR & Payroll Administrator-to join their friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR experienced candidate who enjoys a varied role encompassing HR administration, payroll, recruitment support, employee relations and HR systems management.
You will play a key role in delivering an efficient and professional HR service while supporting employees and managers across the organisation.
Duties and responsibilities include -
HR Administration
- Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters and other HR documentation
- Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
- Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee queries
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities
Payroll Administration
- Lead the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and submit payroll data within agreed timescales
- Liaise with payroll providers and resolve payroll queries efficiently
HR Systems & Reporting
- Maintain and update HR systems and employee data
- Produce HR reports and insights using Excel and other reporting tools
- Support data analysis to inform HR decision-making
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Assist with absence management processes
- Support disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations matters
- Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation and company policies
Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to HR projects and policy development
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function
Experience, skills and competencies required:
- Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified
- Previous HR administration experience
- Experience administering payroll and resolving payroll queries
- Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Professional, approachable and pro-active attitude
