You’ll be joining a newly formed HR team with a clear goal: raise the profile of HR across the business and become genuine partners to managers, not just the people they call when something’s gone wrong.
The role
You''ll be providing hands-on, generalist HR support across a busy manufacturing site, working closely with managers to solve problems, develop people, and improve the employee experience.
No two days will look the same.
You could be coaching a manager through a difficult conversation in the morning, supporting recruitment after lunch, and wrapping up an employee relations case before you head home.
- Advising managers on all aspects of HR and employment law
- Managing investigations, disciplinary and grievance cases
- Coaching managers to build confidence in people management
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding activity
- Reviewing and updating HR policies
- Assisting with payroll and HR administration
- Supporting HR audits and compliance
- Helping drive a positive, people-first culture across the site
What they''re looking for
- Previous HR Advisor or HR generalist experience
- Confident managing employee relations cases
- Good knowledge of UK employment law
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards it)
- Manufacturing experience would be a real advantage
- Someone who can build relationships, influence managers and isn''t afraid to have honest conversations
