As the organisation continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our team and provide professional HR support across the business while helping to create a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

The Role

Reporting to the senior leadership team, you will provide comprehensive HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This is a varied generalist HR role, ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational HR responsibilities with employee engagement and continuous improvement initiatives.

You will play a key role in ensuring HR policies, procedures, and employment practices remain compliant with UK employment legislation while supporting managers in creating a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees.
• Support recruitment activities including advertising vacancies, shortlisting, interviewing, and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance processes.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Coordinate employee onboarding and induction programmes.
• Support learning and development initiatives and staff training.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures remain compliant with current UK employment legislation.
• Produce HR reports and workforce data to support business decisions.
• Promote employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention.
• Assist with performance management and succession planning.
• Champion equality, diversity, and inclusion across the organisation.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in a generalist HR Advisor position.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a varied workload.
• A professional, confidential, and proactive approach.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
• Must be CIPD qualified.
• Experience within social care, fostering, healthcare, or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
