HR Advisor - Employee Relations Birmingham / West Midlands - Multi-site 35,000- 37,500 + Company Car or Car Allowance Permanent An established UK infrastructure and highways organisation is looking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor (Employee Relations) to support a major highways maintenance contract across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands region. This is a varied, operationally focused position with a strong emphasis on employee relations. You will work closely with managers and employees across multiple depots, providing practical advice, managing sensitive casework and helping to maintain a fair, respectful and legally compliant workplace. The Role Acting as a trusted advisor to operational managers, you will manage employee relations matters from initial referral through to resolution. Your caseload will include disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct, attendance and performance matters. You will plan and conduct impartial workplace investigations, including evidence gathering, interviews and the preparation of clear written reports. You will also coach managers through difficult conversations, support absence and return-to-work processes and encourage early, informal resolution wherever appropriate. Alongside case management, you will maintain accurate and confidential records, identify recurring employee relations trends and contribute to manager training, policy development and wider HR improvement projects.
