You''ll give professional, practical HR advice to managers and employees across the council. What you''ll be doing:Representing HR at employee relations meetings, including discipline, grievance, harassment, attendance and flexible working casesAdvising and supporting line managers on HR policies, procedures and conditions of serviceWorking with Occupational Health on attendance management and pre-employment health checksCarrying out recruitment and selection in line with the council''s policies and the Local Government Staff Commission''s Code of PracticeSupporting the induction of new employeesHandling HR administration for new starters, leavers, secondments, transfers and contract changesPreparing monthly and year-end reports, including equal opportunities and absence figuresMaintaining and testing the HR information system, and covering for other HR Advisors What you''ll need:Current membership of the CIPDFive GCSEs (A-C), NVQ Level 2 or equivalentAt least 2 years'' experience in HR, including advising line managers on generalist HR issuesIf you don''t have the qualifications above, at least 5 ..... full job details .....
