HR Advisor

HR Advisor - Greenwich - 7am-4pm

A well established commerical construction contractor is looking for an HR Advisor to join their team in Greenwich, London. You''ll be the backbone of their HR operation - managing recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and training administration that keeps everything running smoothly. This is a full-time permanent role with a stable, growing business and real opportunities to progress for someone proactive and organised.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment screening (Right to Work, references, DBS checks).
• Support employee relations, disciplinary, grievance and capability processes.
• Lead apprenticeship and training administration, including managing development programmes and work trials.
• Maintain employee records in HR system, manage contractual changes and ensure HR compliance.
• Support probation and performance review cycles, and coordinate employee engagement activities.

The Ideal Candidate

• Ideally 2-3 years'' experience in an HR Generalist, HR Advisor or similar HR role.
• Construction background or similar industry experience (advantageous).
• Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Able to work well under pressure, prioritise multiple tasks, and handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communicator, confident dealing with people at all levels.
• Desirable: CIPD Level 3 or Level 5 (or working towards); experience supporting apprenticeship programmes.

Job Details

Location: Greenwich, London and Canary Wharf (occasional travel to other offices and sites)

Hours: 07:00-16:00, full-time, office-based

Salary: -35,00040,000
