Housing Support Worker
BDS is seeking a compassionate, dedicated Housing Support Worker in the Middlesborough area working across Stockton and Durham and the role is to assist individuals in securing and maintaining suitable accommodation. The role involves providing guidance, mentoring, and practical support to clients facing housing challenges. This is a part time, temporary role with the potential to go permanent to start asap to work 20 hours per week Monday to Friday Pay starts from 13.60 PAYE plus holiday pay or 17.19 Umbrella Duties Offer personalised support and mentoring to clients, helping them develop skills for independent living Assist clients with housing applications, tenancy agreements, and related documentation using organisational skills Provide guidance on accessing local services, including healthcare, employment, and social support networks Conduct regular check-ins to monitor client wellbeing and address any emerging needs or concerns Deliver excellent customer service by maintaining a respectful, empathetic approach at all times Support clients in developing life skills such as budgeting, organisation, and communication skills Criteria: Proven experience in mentoring or supporting vulnerable individuals is desirable Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently Able to work independently as well as part of a team Driving licence and own vehicle.
