Housing Support

Our client is seeking a compassionate and proactive Housing-Support Worker to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. This role offers the chance to make a real difference by providing empathetic support, practical advice, and person-centred guidance to individuals moving from crisis towards stability. My client are looking for experienced Housing Support Workers who are well versed in providing outreach and sustainment services.-This role will require people in the office one day a week, and the other four providing site based support-through outreach as well as working from home when not required on site.
The role:

• Provide non-judgemental, empathetic support via phone, email and face-to-face contact.
• Carry out client assessments, identifying needs, risks and opportunities.
• Support clients with housing benefit, welfare and other entitlements.
• Develop and deliver person-centred support plans.
• Liaise with accommodation providers and partner services to secure safe housing.
• Promote access to health, wellbeing and community resources.
• Maintain accurate case records and apply safeguarding policies where necessary.

About you:

• Strong communication and empathy skills.
• Ability to engage people in distress with patience and resilience.
• Knowledge of housing and welfare systems (or willingness to learn).
• Organised, collaborative and committed to strengths-based support.
